Miley Cyrus has dubbed herself Joan Jett's "cheerleader".
The 22-year-old Wrecking Ball singer is inducting the 56-year-old music legend into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Saturday night during the institution's 30th Annual Ceremony.
Miley is beyond excited about presenting I Love Rock 'n' Roll singer Joan with her honour and has even dubbed herself the star's biggest fan.
"F**k yo Saturday! I'm spending mine with this f**king BAEEE!!! #fuckyeahrocknrollhalloffame," Miley wrote on Instagram April 18 in a caption attached to a black and white photo of the rocker.
And in a later post, Miley shared a selfie of herself donning black leather overalls with nipple pasties, captioning the revealing image with two star-dazzled hearts and the words: "Joan's cheerleader".
It is well-known that Crimson and Clover rocker Joan is one of Miley's musical idols.
Back in 2011, Miley had the chance to interview Joan for V Magazine's Heroes issue.
"People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says 'I'm not 11 years old anymore,' people look down on me," Miley told her idol during their conversation. "That's why I have always looked up [to] you. When you came out people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys."
Joan shared similar sentiments with Miley.
The rock icon noted she would've hated having to deal with the paparazzi issues Miley does back in her heyday during the 1980s.
"I was thinking to myself ... how difficult it must be to lead your life as a teenager with the paparazzi and the amount of press you're surrounded by," Joan told Miley. "I thought to myself, 'Wow that was kind of a blessing that we didn't have that stuff when I was growing up in The Runaways.' "
