Miley Cyrus marriage riddle

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have sparked rumours they wed over the Christmas holidays.

The couple got engaged in June after meeting on the set of romantic movie The Last Song in 2009.

Over the holidays, the former Hannah Montana star used photo sharing site Instagram to post a picture of her and Liam posing in front of a Christmas tree.

Despite the snap featuring 20-year-old Miley in a onesie, clutching one of her dogs wearing an elf hat, the attention is firmly on Liam's hand.

The Hunger Games star is seen wearing a sizeable ring on his left hand, which TMZ reports looks suspiciously like a wedding band.

Whereas Miley's hand is covered in the picture, a further snap shows her posing hand on hip, with two bands gleaming on her ring finger.

According to Hollywoodlife.com Miley was spotted on Christmas Eve wearing no rings, but then posted the previously mentioned snaps on December 25, sparking suspicion the pair may have tied the knot on Christmas morning.

The singer-and-actress and 22-year-old Liam spent Christmas in California with Miley's family, including her mother Tish, sister Noah, brother Trace and her precious pooches. If the wedding did go ahead, Liam's brother Chris Hemsworth would also have been able to attend as he was nearby with his family.

Previous reports had suggested the famous couple would wed next summer, but now it appears they couldn't wait.

Miley hasn't addressed the speculation, but over the festive period she did share some bizarre dreams she has been having.

"Why do I keep having this reoccurring dream of me & @ladygaga giving foot rubs to each other. SO WEIRD," she posted on Twitter.

"looked up what "foot rubbing dreams" mean and it said I'm lonely (sic)," she added.

At least now it seems like Miley may have a doting husband at her side to help with any loneliness.
