Miley Cyrus' parents are giving their marriage another chance.
The 20-year-old star's mother Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus after 19 years of marriage in June.
Tish cited "irreconcilable differences" in her filing, which came three years after Billy filed for divorce. The pair stayed together for a brief period and tried to work things out.
A purported longtime friend of the family, Ken Baker, says the couple are trying to make it work once again.
"I spoke to Tish and she told me they both woke up and realised they love each other and decided they want to stay together," he told E! News.
Ken said the pair have been going to couples therapy, something they had never tried before.
The sessions appear to have worked for the better.
"They went into the therapy with the goal of divorcing in a way that was healthy for the children, but ended up coming out of it with the realisation that they in fact want to stay together," Ken said.
"Tish sounds happy and energized about having this fresh start.
"It's brought them closer together and really opened up their communication in amazing ways."
Tish and Billy Ray acknowledged they were back together in an Instagram post Saturday night.
Miley's mom shared a photo of the couple cosying up.
"Date night," she wrote.
