Miley Cyrus' friends are reportedly worried she'll turn her new home into a zoo with all the animals she's adopted.
The 22-year-old singer has many pets in her care, including dogs Bean, Mary Jane and MuMu, a cat called Kiki and a pig named Pig. Miley has led something of a crazy party lifestyle over the last couple of years, but is said to be yearning for a place to escape her fame. Insiders report the star is looking to buy a secluded home in Los Angeles where she and her pets can spend quality time together, despite close pals being concerned about the number of animals living with her.
"Miley loves living like a pop star but she's looking for somewhere to go when it all gets a bit too much and this place is perfect," a source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper. "She'll be able to lie in bed on her own cliff top facing the ocean and it's in an extremely private neighbourhood.
"It's going to be like a zoo up there. Miley loves the distraction of her pets but friends are concerned she's taking on too many."
If she was to purchase the property, it's thought Miley's new neighbours would include the likes of Steven Spielberg, Pierce Brosnan and Goldie Hawn. Her love of animals is no secret as she posts new photos of her pets almost every day on Instagram. She even got them involved in the spooky holiday Halloween (31Oct15) by painting Pig's nails red for the occasion.
But nothing showcases her feelings more than her latest album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. One track is dedicated to her late pet pooch Floyd, who was killed by coyotes in 2014, and the pop singer chose to record the songs outside of her contract with RCA Records and release it independently.
"Miley Cyrus continues to be a ground-breaking artist," the company shared in a statement following its release in August (15). "She has a strong point of view regarding her art and expressed her desire to share this body of work with her fans directly. RCA Records is pleased to support Miley's unique musical vision."
