Miley Cyrus is showing support for her mother on Twitter in the wake of her parents' divorce.
The 20-year-old singer's mother, Tish, filed divorce papers in Los Angeles on Thursday in a bid to end her 19-year marriage to country music singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, according to TMZ.
Miley is said to be coping well although she's yet to comment publicly about the split.
She made it clear Saturday she plans to be a pillar of strength for her mother in a Twitter post.
"The baddest b*****s in the WORLD @noahcyrus @tishcyrus," Miley wrote on the micro-blog.
Accompanying the message was a photo of Miley with her mother and 13-year-old sister Noah smiling in the back of a car.
Miley's tweet with her mother and little sister came just hours after she posted a selfie with Tish over a meal.
"Dinner with the most beautiful mommy in the world @tishcyrus," the singer wrote late Friday night.
Miley earlier reached out to her father on Twitter after news broke of the split.
"@billyraycyrus since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?," she asked.
Billy Ray did not respond via Twitter.
Miley is currently promoting her new single, We Can"t Stop, and was quizzed about the divorce during an appearance at a Chicago radio station Friday.
B96 Chicago radio entertainment reporter Michelle Menaker told People.com Miley said off-air she was coping "fine" but admitted she was concerned for Noah.
"Oh, I"m fine. I'm okay. I'm much more concerned for my sister [Noah]. She"s 13," the singer was quoted saying.
Tish cited "irreconcilable differences" in her filing. It came three years after Billy filed for divorce and an attempt to work things out.
The former couple share five children together, including Miley and Noah. Tish is seeking full custody of the teen. The rest of the children are adults.
