Miley Cyrus announced her MTV VMAs hosting duties while dressed as a green alien.
The 22-year-old We Can't Stop songstress put on a history-making performance with Robin Thicke at the fun awards ceremony in 2013.
But this year she won't be onstage as a guest performing act, as she has been dubbed the host of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
"F**k yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm," Miley wrote on Instagram Monday July 20 attached to a picture of herself holding signs while wearing a green extraterrestrial costume.
During the 2013 MTV VMAs, Miley teamed up with singer Robin Thicke to perform a duet of his song Blurred Lines onstage.
The pair put on a raucous show, as Miley was twerk dancing with giant teddy bears while stripping down to a nude bikini, grinding against Robin and kissing him on the neck. Giant foam fingers and wagging tongues also caused a stir during the infamous performance.
But last year the Wrecking Ball pop star showed up to the VMAs in an entirely different context.
She was accompanied at the 2014 ceremony by transient Jesse Helt, now 23 years old, who accepted her award for Video of the Year and read the star's acceptance speech in a bid to raise awareness for youth homelessness.
"I've survived in shelters all over... Though I may have been invisible to you in the streets, I have a lot of the same dreams that brought many of you here tonight," he told millions while accepting Miley's award, while she sat in the audience with tears in her eyes.
"A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality."
