LA rockers Motley Crue are commemorating the reissue of six of the band's albums on vinyl by releasing a leather-bound box set.
The band's first five albums "Too Fast For Love" (1981); "Shout at the Devil" (1983); "Theatre of Pain" (1985); "Girls, Girls, Girls" (1987) and "Dr. Feelgood" (1989), as well as 2008's "Saints Of Los Angeles" will all be reissued on vinyl on November 25.
The records are pressed on 180gm vinyl and have been cut from the original analogue master tapes.
If you're the die-hard type, however, you'll probably want to opt for the leather bound box set that includes all six records and an autographed lithograph from the 'Shout At The Devil' era.
"I remember opening up my first vinyl and seeing the incredible artwork it had. There's nothing like it," said bass player Nikki Sixx. "You also get that true gritty sound on vinyl that really makes a rock record sound great which CDs can never achieve. With the current resurgence of vinyl, it came at a perfect time for us to open up the next generation of rock fans to what they've been missing out on."
While the vinyl alone will be available in stores, the box set is only available via the band's website www.motley.com and also includes an autographed 'Shout At The Devil'-era lithograph and each one is numbered. There is only 500 of them, so get to it.
