The beautiful 29-year-old actress has been in some gritty and rather sinister movies, such as V for Vendetta and Closer.
Natalie thinks because of her dark film choices, the public may have a perception of her as a serious character, and she insists she has a much lighter side.
“I’m not as serious as I appear to be in my films, I have a lot of fun and I go out and party with my friends who are not famous,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine.
The actress prefers hanging out in places where she won’t be recognised though, as she dislikes getting too much attention when she’s trying to unwind. Natalie used to be more self-conscious than she is now, and has recently learnt to stop fretting about the opinions of the public.
“We often go to each other’s apartments or places where I’m less likely to be mobbed by paparazzi, rather than clubs where I might end up in the next morning’s headlines. I’ve also become less worried about what people think so I’m more fun to be with now – at least I hope so!” she laughed.
