British singer and songwriter Neon Hitch will join her pals in 3OH!3 for a series of dates on the electro hip-hop group's current "Streets of Gold" Tour beginning October 23. Hitch first worked with the group on "Follow Me Down," which was included on Almost Alice — a companion soundtrack to the Tim Burton film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
Signed to Warner Bros. Records by Senior Vice President of A&R Kara DioGuardi, Hitch is currently hard at work on her debut album with executive producer Benny Blanco (Ke$ha, Spank Rock, 3OH!3, Britney Spears). The album is shaping up to be a collection of striking songs that deploy Hitch's soulful, jazz-inflected vocals atop an organic backdrop of eclectic pop melodies and hip-hop tinged beats. Miss Hitch certainly has friends in high places. Look for more from her next year.
Hitch already has several high-profile songwriting credits to her name. She co-wrote "Blah Blah Blah"on Ke$ha's No. 1 album Animal; "Traces," which will appear on Sky Ferreira's upcoming debut album, as well as "Stupid Love Letter," which is included on the Friday Nights Boys' album Off The Deep End and the When In Rome soundtrack. Hitch has worked with Miike Snow (appearing on Blanco's remix of "Burial”), Greg Kurstin, Sia, Mike Posner, Deadmau5, DJ Chuckie, Toby Gad, and Cathy Dennis.
