Niall Horan is glad to be "back fit" a year on from a major knee operation.
The One Direction heart throb underwent the surgery in America in January last year. And 12 months on, the 21-year-old wanted to share his thanks to those who supported him.
"This day last year I had my knee operated on, would like to thank everyone @ChelseaFC and @M1Jarvis for gettin me back fit," he wrote on Tuesday.
The singer referred to the London soccer club and Mark Jarvis, a strength and conditioning coach. Without their help the Irishman wouldn't have been able to put on such energetic displays with his band mates Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Harry Styles during their hugely successful Where We Are World Tour.
Niall reportedly needed the surgery after repeatedly dislocating his knee as a child.
However the tour wasn't without a few hairy moments for the blonde haired star.
"Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!" the 20-year-old tweeted in June after a gig in Amsterdam. "Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it (sic)."
The band is currently enjoying a well earned break before resuming their jetsetting life. The On The Road Again Tour begins in Australia on February 7 and will continue throughout the year before ending in Europe at the end of October.
But for now, Niall is just enjoying his free time with friends and family.
"Had an amazing Christmas at home , london for new year was great.. That's it over now! Now to relax and enjoy time off before OTRA !" he tweeted on January 3.
