It's almost slime time as the 1st ever Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards UK gets set to touch down in Britain on 20th October at London's ExCel.
Leading the slimiest, starriest line-up of 2007 are pop rockers McFly who will welcome a mixture of family entertainments biggest stars to the slime soaked and fun packed stage, including the man with the ultimate X Factor, singer supreme Shayne Ward and teen screen sensation Emma Watson, best know as Harry Potter's Hermione Granger.
As well as bursting at the seams with famous faces, hilarious sketches and live music from the hottest stars around, Nickelodeon is proud to announce new category, The Greenie Award with Sky. This isn't, as you may assume, an award for the person who gets slimed the most at this world famous gunge fest, but a way of encouraging kids to think about their effect on the planet.
The Greenie Award with Sky aims to highlight the small changes in kids' daily routines that are free, easy to perform and have a positive effect on climate change - like turning off the tap when brushing their teeth to save water.
By logging onto www.sky.com/skykids and www.nick.co.uk/greenie, UK kids will register their pledge (from a choice of 5) towards creating a greener environment over the next year. The pledge with the most votes will win the inaugural, The Greenie Award with Sky. Please see the Editors Notes on the following page for the five 'Greenie Award with Sky' pledges.
Nickelodeon's partner in The Greenie Award is Sky. Sky's www.jointhebiggerpicture.co.uk shows the simple steps individuals can take to help create a healthy environment and make a difference on climate change. With over 8.5m homes in the UK who have joined in with Sky, Sky is in a unique position to communicate a message with a massive effect.
The starriest, slimiest awards show on TV will premiere on Nickelodeon, Saturday 27th October at 11am, on Sunday 28th October at 2pm on MTV Hits and on Saturday 3rd November at 9am on TMF.document.write(unescape("
