Nicole Kidman apparently wants to move her mother into her home.
The actress' family were left devastated in September when her father Antony passed away suddenly aged 75, following a suspected heart attack.
Now it's being reported that Nicole, who lives in Nashville with her husband Keith Urban and daughters Sunday and Faith, wants her mother Janelle to join them as she's worried about her.
"Nic really wants to be with her and take care of her," a source told Australia's Celebrity Fix. "With the loss of her dad, it's really hit home to Nic that life is so fragile.
"And she wants to spend every moment with her mum. They've got plenty of room at their house in Nashville and she would love nothing more than her to have grandma close at hand."
However, the 47-year-old's wishes aren't said to be sitting too well with Keith, also 47. Insiders say that while he has a good relationship with Janelle, he struggles to find time alone with Nicole and their kids. Therefore he's worried having another person in the house could make things even more difficult.
"That's why Keith isn't keen on Janelle moving in permanently," the source continued. "When he's home, he likes to kick back and relax. He doesn't want to worry about a permanent house guest.
"He knows they could both be looking at him disapprovingly if he wants to have a night out with buddies. Janelle is very old-school and has impeccable manners."
Antony, who was a doctor, is thought to have collapsed while in a Singapore hotel restaurant. Nicole recently spoke out about how much his death affected her.
"I've gone through a tragedy which has absolutely shattered our family," she told British magazine Grazia. "[It's taught me to] live in the moment because you never know what's going to happen. Dad lived like that. He would always say 'Nicci, don't worry, be happy.'"
