Joel Madden has joked that he and Nicole Richie are playing games instead of talking to each other.
Joel blames his wife for introducing a game that has put up a communication barrier between the two.
The Good Charlotte singer has revealed on his Twitter account that he is obsessed with the pastime.
"Great now my wife has me addicted to this stupid game and we play it instead of talking (sic)," he said.
The rocker's Twitter followers also share his fascination with the leisure activity. One fan wrote, "@JoelMadden If its Draw Something, my boy toy and I laid in bed for 3 hours doing to same thing .. -.- lol (sic)."
The confession comes amid reports his marriage to Nicole has hit a rocky patch as the couple are working on projects on opposite sides of the world.
Joel has recently been spending time in Sydney filming Australian TV show The Voice alongside Seal and Delta Goodrem.
Nicole is focusing on her new US TV series Fashion Star back home in Los Angeles where the pair live with their two children.
Joel has slammed claims their relationship was in trouble, saying they are still going strong since tying the knot in 2010.
"My wife and my children are the most important thing in the world to me," the rocker said.
"I try very hard to be the father that (children) Harlow and Sparrow need and deserve, and the husband I believe Nicole deserves."
Meanwhile, Nicole has claimed that she deserves some entitlements for being married to Joel – who is of Irish heritage.
She revealed her disappointment at missing out on gifts to celebrate St. Patricks Day on March 17.
"I'm really offended that, as a Madden, no one has sent me any Happy St Patricks Day presents," she Tweeted over the weekend.
