Nicole Richie has denied she will be making an album with Rihanna.
The mother-of-one – who is the adopted daughter of 'Hello' singer Lionel Richie – insists reports claiming she is teaming up with the 'Umbrella' singer and Kelly Osbourne to make an LP are not true, but admits she would like to launch a music career.
She said: "Although I think Rihanna and Kelly are very talented, the rumours are completely false.
"I do eventually want to record an album, but right now I have a lot on my plate."
The star – who shot to fame alongside pal Paris Hilton in reality TV show 'The Simple Life' – is concentrating on her acting career following a guest appearance on US drama series 'Chuck' earlier this year.
Nicole added to People magazine: "I've really been working hard – going on auditions for acting, doing design for my line, and being a mom – so that pretty much takes up my days.
"Right now I'm reading scripts and really trying to take my work seriously."
The busy 27-year-old – whose Good Charlotte rocker boyfriend Joel Madden has launched a new line of shoes with brother Benji - is also developing her portfolio of fashion accessories and is hoping to launch a clothing line in the future.
She said: "I'm going to do every accessory from sunglasses to belts to shoes. Clothing could be last just because it's such a big job. I'm really excited to be going full force into the world of design. It's a lot of work, but I love it."
