The 29-year-old was meant to be on probation until February, after she admitted using drugs marijuana and Vicodin before getting behind the wheel in December 2006. The star was stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road.
Initially Nicole was sentenced to four days imprisonment for DUI, although she actually spent 82 minutes in jail before being released and put on probation.
The star’s spokeswoman told the Associated Press Nicole has now terminated her probation early, as she is said to have fulfilled its terms, which included alcohol education classes.
Nicole’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, reportedly went to court on Wednesday morning to explain how she had been successfully completing the probation. The star is believed to have received high praise from those involved in her alcohol education training, where she has been attending classes for the past year-and-a-half, leading to the judge’s agreement that the probation should be terminated early.
Nicole was once famed for her wild party lifestyle, although in recent years she has settled down and is a doting mother to her two children; daughter Harlow, two, and son Sparrow, one. She married Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden – the children’s father – earlier this month.
