Outside of limited television airings, Nirvana's landmark November 18th 1993 performance on "MTV Unplugged" has never before been released on video….until now.
The DVD "Unplugged In New York" (Polydor) is set for release on November 19th 2007 and features the complete unedited 66-minute concert in both Dolby Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound, including stage patter and two songs not aired on the original 44-minute broadcast - "Oh Me" and "Something In The Way".
Also included is previously unreleased rehearsal footage of "Come As You Are", "Polly" and "Pennyroyal Tea" and documentary footage including interviews with Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
Released in 1994, the album "Unplugged in New York" is a platinum-selling CD which won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 1996.
