Former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl play a Nirvana rarity at secret gig.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the Foo Fighters played a secret show in LA, debuting new material, playing classics, and getting Novoselic up on stage to play 'Marigold'.
'Marigold' was the b-side to In Utero's first single 'Heart-Shaped Box', one of the rare songs written and sung by Grohl during his tenure in Nirvana (he'd previously released it under a pseudonym).
The rest of the show was also a treat for the 500 or so that crammed into the Paladino's venue.
The Foos played classics like 'Times Like These', 'My Hero' and 'Learn to Fly' as well as some of the new songs from their supposedly-very-heavy forthcoming album, including songs called 'Dear Rosemary', 'White Limo' and 'Back and Forth' (which is tipped to be the title track).
The band are reportedly finishing up the mixing on the album, which is due out in the first half of 2011.
Fans of the Foos are certain to love Scot rockers Biffy Clyro, who we had in for a uSession recently. Check them out below.
