One Direction are reportedly "hardly talking" to each other after their drug scandal.
Last month a video was released by MailOnline showing members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson in a car smoking what appeared to be marijuana during their stint in Peru in April. The pair also discussed the nature of drugs in the vehicle, which was on the day they performed at the Estadio Nacional in Lima.
As the band - also formed on Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - continue their worldwide Where We Are Tour tensions have reportedly grown high between the lads.
"At times, they're hardly talking backstage. Liam, Harry and Niall are worried about losing fans - they're also nervous the scandal might affect their success in America," an insider told British magazine Closer.
It is thought the clip online has caused the group to grow apart, with Zayn and Louis standing united against the other three boys. Emotions have run so high that a confrontation which is said to have taken place recently left some of them worrying about their future.
"It's Zayn and Louis against the others - Harry, Liam and Niall are furious. They had a dramatic meeting last week and Harry was the first to lash out, telling them they'd messed everything up," the source added. "But Zayn turned it around on Harry and accused him of only being interested in himself. Poor Niall has been in tears - he's worried this could be the end of the band."
In the video Louis openly discusses the substance he's puffing away at. He also refers to their police escort driving alongside the vehicle he and Zayn are sat in with several other men.
"So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days!" Louis muses. "[The police escort] is thinking, 'I'm sure I can smell an illegal substance in there.' And he's hit the nail on the head."
