One Direction ‘fear homesickness’

One Direction apparently fear they'll get homesick on their world tour.

The British boy band kicked off their Take Me Home tour in February in the UK, where they spent free time with friends and family between gigs. But as the tour moves to Europe this month, the heartthrobs feel they might struggle to handle the intensity of their schedule.

"The boys have loved having some time to take stock of all they've achieved and hang out with their mates," a source told the UK edition of Star magazine. "They've still been working and touring the UK, but they're now understandably daunted at the prospect of working pretty much every day until the beginning of November."

Niall, 19, Zayn, 20, Harry, 19, Louis, 21, and Liam, 19, will perform their first European show in Paris. In June, the boys are due to jet off to North America before heading to Australia and New Zealand and then finishing up in Japan in November. In the trailer for the band's upcoming movie, 1D In 3D, Niall talks about how difficult life on the road can be.

"The hardest thing about the travelling is missing family, but we've become like brothers," Niall said of his bandmates. In another clip, Liam's mother breaks down in tears.

But the price of fame really hit home for Louis last week when he discovered his cousin, Tyrone Clark, was rushed to hospital after narrowly escaping a house fire.

"Louis was upset that he couldn't be there properly for Tyrone," a source told Star. "The fire has been a sharp reminder to put his loved ones first, so a world tour isn't the greatest timing right now."
