One Direction could be facing "disaster" in America.
The British pop group are currently on their Where We Are Tour, which sees them performing 69 shows in three continents.
In a video posted on MailOnline earlier this week, bandmembers Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were caught on camera talking about marijuana and smoking what appeared to be a joint.
And apparently tour managers are now concerned the boys' behaviour will get the barred from entering the United States.
"Everything is about America. It would be a disaster if Zayn and Louis had problems," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"The authorities could make an example of them."
One Direction would have to cancel the 31 dates they have scheduled in North America if Zayn and Malik are denied entry to the United States and Canada.
It is claimed bandmate Harry Styles is particularly incensed over the situation.
"Harry is annoyed about the whole debacle. This should be one of the biggest weeks of the band's career with the launch of their UK stadium tour," an insider noted.
"Instead it has been taken over by this controversy. Harry thinks it was a stupid and reckless thing for Louis to allow to be filmed in the first place."
Zayn has purportedly been losing sleep since the footage was released.
"He was up checking his phone to see the reaction," the source said.
"He understands the whole world is talking and he is trying to work out how to limit the damage."
The North American leg of One Direction's Where We Are Tour is scheduled to kick off in August.
