One Direction on brink of 'burning out'

One Direction is reportedly struggling to handle their "incredibly manic lives".

The British boy band – comprising of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – are currently preparing to go on a worldwide tour that boasts 117 dates across North America, Australasia and Europe.

The group is said to be feeling the pressure just days before their first concert takes place.

One Direction's management has hired assistants to help manage their hectic schedules.

"The guys have incredibly manic professional and personal lives, and they started getting stressed out about their ever-increasing workload," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

"Obviously the record label don't want them burning out, so they came up with the idea of letting them appoint personal assistants."

One Direction's new staff will look after each task on the agenda.

"The idea is for the PAs to run their diaries on a day-to-day basis, and make sure they turn up to dentist appointments and photoshoots," the insider explained.

"With the world tour coming up, it is essential they are on top of everything and put under as little stress as possible."

It was reported recently that in order to improve their endurance and to pick up some impressive dance moves, One Direction has been attending classes for Latin fitness craze Zumba.

The group's initial concert will take place at London's O2 Arena on February 23.
