One Direction 'waste their millions'

One Direction admit to wasting their fortunes on useless toys.

Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are said to be worth an estimated £10million each.

And Liam admits the pop group sometimes has "more money than sense", UK newspaper The Mirror reports.

"We bought some robots that played football..." Liam laughed to the outlet, admitting he didn't take travel logistics into consideration before making the purchase.

"They would not work because of the Japanese plug," he shrugged.

Louis meanwhile admitted to buying an "interactive mirror", which he's never used.

"I liked the idea of it. It is just a mirror that has the weather on and the news - and it is a waste of money," he said.

The pop stars also splashed out on some new wheels. But Louis confessed their motor toys have spent more time with the mechanic than at their disposal.

"...This tour me and Zayn bought some go-karts and they broke and we had to keep having them repaired," he said, admitting, "It was a waste of money. We used to race them in car parks."

The English-Irish boy band wrapped up their Take Me Home Tour in Tokyo on November 3 but will soon be hitting the road again. Their Where We Are Tour is scheduled to kick off in Dublin on May 23, 2014.
