One Direction may already have a number of commitments on their busy schedule, but the fivesome can't seem to stay out of the recording studio. And with a new tour and a summer 3-D blockbuster on the horizon, there are certainly projects that they could be cooking up.
"I was just with them last week in London — hanging out, working on a few new things. So that'll be fun," producer Julian Bunetta teased to MTV News last week. "I can't really say, but it's gonna be pretty cool. I mean it's just... I mean obviously we're working on new music but they didn't say what the new music is for. It might be for nothing. It might only be for my ears ... or, it might be something that gets put out for the world to hear. I could just rent my ears out," he joked.
Bunetta has worked with the U.K. boy band several times before, including tracks for their 2012 release Take Me Home and their just-released Comic Relief charity single, "One Way Or Another." But his last session remains shrouded in mystery, though Bunetta did share how awesome it is to work with the guys.
"I think they're a perfect balance of both. They are very professional, they know how to get the job done, they know when it's time to really focus and get down to business. But that being said, it's never a stale atmosphere. It's always fun," he said. "We're always having a laugh. We're always joking about something. It's such a pleasure to be around them and to hang with them."
And, with his spot as the sixth member of the group quickly falling into place, he thinks that with "One Way," he's hit his creative stride with the guys.
"I think it was the best one 'cause we got to spend the most time together. We get to look back on the experiences we had recording the songs we did, and look back, like, 'Oh my god! How cool was it? How good it turned out?' And we can look back at the work we did and look forward to the work that we're gonna do in the future," he teased.
For now, Directioners will have to settle on playing Take Me Home and "One Way" on repeat until the group is ready to share with the world what they created with Bunetta this time around. Additionally, they will drop a video for "One Way" this Thursday.
