One Direction wowed fans with a cover of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' last night (20.09.12).
The boy band took to the stage at London's Roundhouse venue as part of the iTunes festival, and stunned screaming fans with energetic performances of several of their big hits and a medley of covers including Natalie Imbruglia's 'Torn'.
Niall Horan played his guitar as Louis Tomlinson sang Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie' and during Zayn Malik's rendition of Black Eyed Peas' 'I Gotta Feeling', before putting down his instrument to sing Maroon 5's 'My Heart's a Stereo'.
The group - completed by Harry Styles and Liam Payne - opened their set with 'Na Na Na' and got the crowd on their feet with 'Stand Up' and 'I See You' before launching into their array of covers.
They later slowed things down with the Ed Sheeran-written 'Moments', which Harry introduced as being penned by "a good friend of ours".
The lads had a break from singing midway through their set as they answered twitter messages from around the world. Zayn described Harry as "sexy" when they were asked to describe each other in one word, shortly after Harry got fans laughing by impersonating Niall's Irish accent.
One Direction went on to entertain further by performing the opening rap from TV show 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' before getting back to singing with 'Up All Night', 'Tell Me a Lie' and 'Everything About You'.
The boy band finished their show with huge hits 'One Thing' and 'What Makes You Beautiful' before returning to the stage for their encore dressed in shirts and ties to sign off with 'I Want'.
Shortly before their last few songs, Niall said it would be the last time the band played their set in its current form before debuting material from their forthcoming second album.
Louis added: "What a great place to finish it at."
