An opera singer has lodged a complaint after her local village primary school began playing songs by artists including Lady Gaga early in the morning.
Trish Symon, 61, moved to Loders, Dorset from London last year to find peace and quiet, but instead claims she has been subjected to “offensive music” by teachers at Loders Primary School.
The school said it was playing music as part of “wake and shake” sessions designed to tackle obesity and encourage the children to work.
But Symon told the Daily Telegraph the songs were comparable to “Japanese water torture”.
The opera singer, whose complaint has been dismissed by parents as petty, spent 26 years with the Royal Opera House.
