Paul Weller is joining XFM to give music fans a rare insight into his career.
From his humble beginnings in the mod-punk trio The Jam, through the 1980s soul years in The Style Council, to his solo career as the elder statesman of Britpop, Weller is one of Britain's finest songwriters.
XFM's John Kennedy will talk to Weller about his amazing career in front of a very intimate audience at The Hammersmith Club in west London on Thursday 25 June. The intimate event is in aid of Global's Make Some Noise.
Global's Make Some Noise is a national grant giving charity. Global is home to the country's best loved commercial radio brands, Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, XFM and Gold, which it has united to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the country.
There will also be some special guests who will provide their own experiences of and insights into Paul's career.
Chris Baughen, XFM's managing editor, said: "This will be an incredible evening for all Paul Weller fans as he joins us for what I know will be a fantastic and enlightening chat. We're very grateful to Paul and our other guests for getting together with XFM for our charity, Global's Make Some Noise."
Tickets go on sale on Friday 5 June at 8am from www.xfm.co.uk. Tickets are £80-100 with proceeds from the event going to Global's Make Some Noise.
