Pete Doherty has revealed he injected heroin whilst filming ‘Confession Of A Child Of The Century’.
The Babyshambles has spoken about the pressures of his drug addiction, revealing that he was force to use heroin while filming his (recently panned) acting debut. The singer turned actor has battled with a drug habit for years and claims that director Sylvie Verheyde ignored him when he took the drug whilst filming the adaptation of Alfred de Musset’s classic novel.
Doherty has told The Guardian, "It's poison but it's also medicine. When you're in that state, you can't function unless you have your fix... But I was so absorbed in the work, there wasn't a chance (to go to rehab)... I couldn't hide it from (Verheyde). She didn't really care. It was just a question of how quickly I can find a vein and then let's get on with it."
Pete Doherty has also revealed that he will be using the late Amy Winehouse’s lyrics on his new solo album.
