Pete Doherty tried to commit suicide during his latest stint in rehab, according to his personal minder Johnny Jeannevol.
According to Jeannevol the Babyshambles singer downed an enitre bottle of pills after learning of his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss' new relationship with Kills frontman Jamie Hince.
He tells a Sunday tabloid, "Pete's been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man.
"He saw an opportunity to take an overdose and took it. He told me he didn't know what the pills were but thought 'fuck it' and took them all."
However, Jeannevol adds that Doherty has now been drug-free for six weeks following his departure from the Clouds clinic in Wiltshire.
