Pete Doherty is to stand trial in December on a charge of dangerous driving following an incident after a gig this summer.
Appearing at Gloucester Crown Court, the 30-year-old Babyshambles singer denied driving his Mercedes dangerously after a show at the city's Guildhall on June 11.
On leaving the hearing Doherty posed for pictures in his trademark hat and signed autographs the Press Association reported.
The court was told how the former Libertine had entertained a 300 strong crowd before the alleged offence.
Judge William Hart bailed the songwriter to return to court for trial on Dec. 21. The case is expected to last up to three days.
