Hans Zimmer is reuniting with Pharrell Williams on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 score.
The pair worked together before as they scored last year's 84th Annual Academy Awards ceremony.
Hans reveals that he and Pharrell will also be working Johnny Marr, Michael Einziger and Dave Stewart.
The Academy Award-winning composer claims the Amazing Spider-Man 2 band came together quite organically.
"[Director Marc Webb] and I were talking about Spider-Man, and as the word got out, so many of our friends and musicians started calling us up, wanting to be a part of it, because they love Spider-Man," Hans said in a press release to Variety.
"With all of these hugely talented people wanting to join us, it was Marc who said, 'Why not start a band?' Marc and I have had a great start jamming with everybody, and we still have a few surprises up our sleeve."
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release next spring.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will return to their respective roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy in the follow-up.
The all-star cast also includes Jamie Foxx as the villainous Electro, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson and Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborne.
Paul Giamatti who plays supervillain Aleksei Sytsevich, aka The Rhino, in the picture previously admitted he's still reeling from the experience of creating the character for the big screen.
"I went completely over-the-top with it," he told Collider.
"I seemed to have carte blanche to just go and ham it. He's an animal. I took it literally. In some ways, he's literally a rhinoceros inside. He's just a big, dumb animal. I'm not a big, huge guy, but I thought that I could be a big, stupid animal. That's what he is, so that's why I thought it would be fun."
