US R&B superstar Pharrell Williams continues to go from strength to strength, having this week scored the first No.1 UK album of his career with latest release, GIRL.
Following the huge success of his single 'Happy', Williams and his big-name collaborators (Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake and Miley Cyrus all appear on the album), knock Bastille from the album No.1 spot, after the band's 2013 album recently returned to No.1. The London four-piece slip to No.3 while Ellie Goulding's hugely successful Halcyon is at No.2. Avicii is at No.4 with True and Arctic Monkeys are at No.5 with AM.
Other new entries on the UK album chart come from Rick Ross at No.11 with Mastermind, Mike Oldfield at No.12 with Man On The Rock and A Great Big World enter at No.16 with Is There Anybody Out There.
Drive By Truckers enter at No.34 with English Oceans, We Are Scientists are new at No.36 with TV En Francais and Rufus Wainwright's best collection, Vibrate enters at No.39.
