Pink's husband keeps falling asleep when she plans couple time.
The 36-year-old singer married 40-year-old motocross racer Carey Hart back in 2006 and they are parents to daughter Willow, four. But Pink admits that keeping the passion alive in a relationship can be tough, especially with a young child, and Carey often struggles to stay awake for them to have some intimate time together.
"He always falls to sleep putting Willow to bed," Pink said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Wednesday (04May16). "The other night I said, 'Are you going to stay up tonight?' And he said, 'I would like to.' I said, 'I don't really know what that means. Should I light candles and open wine and put on a show like are we going big here. Or are you going to fall asleep again?'"
She added that Carey's desire to stay awake couldn't compete with his tiredness, and he ended up falling asleep. Pink then told Ellen "he sucks", before backtracking and complimenting her spouse on his parenting skills.
"No he's good. He doesn't (suck). He's very, very handsome… He's an incredible dad," she said. "That's why he falls asleep, because (Willow) wants him to stay."
Both Pink and Carey have somewhat fiery tempers which has caused issues in their relationship in the past. The Try singer told Ellen they have had to take time out from their marriage at points in order to save it.
"We take breaks," the singer said when Ellen asked if she and Carey often fight. "We've had two breaks… the first one was about a year, and the second one was 11 months."
Both breaks came before Willow was born, but Pink joked she thinks the couple are "due" for another.
