It may be fine for Q-Tip to drop hints on G.O.O.D. Music's future, but Pusha T is keeping his lips sealed — maybe we can get more out of him when he appears on "RapFix Live" this Wednesday.
"I don't know, you know Tip one of the generals, so if Tip says it's gonna be a Cruel Winter, he can make that call. I'm just here," Push told on the red carpet of the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, just moments after the former A Tribe Called Quest frontman hinted to us that Yeezy may be dropping a Cruel Summerfollow-up very soon.
"If there's a Cruel Summer, then there's got to be a Cruel Winter right?" Q-Tip said on September 29, alluding to a new G.O.O.D. project. "That's all I'm saying."
Pusha is saying in less than that, but no matter what the future holds, the Virginia MC is still riding high off Cruel Summer, especially "Higher," his single with The-Dream and Ma$e. "Me, Dream and Ma$e is like one of the hottest records out right now," Push said not-so-humbly.
"Me and Dream been locked up for a minute and it was a beat that 'Ye and Hit-Boy came up with," the Clipse spitter said of how the track came about. " 'Ye felt that Dream would sound good on it and I actually had a session with Dream, so he sent the record with me to give to Dream."
While The-Dream and Pusha have already proved to be a powerful tandem on tracks like "Dope Bitch" and the controversial "Exodus 23:1," Pusha Ton was shocked to see Ma$e hop on the track. "And Ma$e, Ma$e was the surprise, I didn't even know," he said. "I listened to the album on August 28 and that was one of the surprises along with Ghostface being on the album."
On Monday (October 8), Pusha took to Instagram and posted the art to his new single, "Pain," from his untitled solo album dropping in 2013.
