The possibility of a Rolling Stones 50th anniversary tour was increased on Wednesday when all four members of the band were seen coming out of a meeting. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts were photographed coming out of an office in London with the Daily Mail saying "The band still showed they had star power, with a fan touching Ronnie Wood and a photographer taking his picture as he is ushered into a waiting car. Keith joined his bandmate in the young-dressing stakes, donning one of his trademark headscarves underneath a stylish hat."
Keith Richards revealed at Tuesday's GQ Man of the Year Awards that his million-selling book, Life, would be turned into a movie. He received the Writer of the Year Award at the ceremony.
The trial of Dr. Conrad Murray is underway. The doctor who was with Michael Jackson at the time of his death is on trial in Los Angeles for involuntary manslaughter. Over 160 perspective jurors were summoned on the first day and, when asked if any were not aware of who Dr. Murray was, nobody raised their hand. They were then given a probing questioneer to fill out to whittle the group down to those that the lawyers on each side want to further question.
Jon Bon Jovi visited a Manhattan firehouse on Wednesday to perform a version of America the Beautiful that was taped for Sunday night's NFL Kickoff 2011: Back to Football special. The performance mirrors one he did on September 23, 2001 before the first NFL game after the 9/11 attack.
Early number for the sales week show that a trio of veteran artists could be in next week's top five. While Lil Wayne is expected to top the chart for a third week and a resurgent Adele would be in second, the next three spots could be taken up by George Strait (Here for a Good Time with estimated sales of 80 to 90 thousand), the Red Hot Chili Peppers (I'm With You with 70 to 75 thousand) and the Beatles (1, which just became available digitally at iTunes, with 60 to 65 thousand). Final numbers will be out next Wednesday.
