Randy Newman has added another Oscar to his collection. He picked up the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song' for 'We Belong Together' from Toy Story 3.
Newman has been often nominated by rarely wins the Oscar. His previous win was in 2001 for 'I Didn't Have You' from Monsters Inc.
The singer / songwriter who grabbed global fame in 1977 with his song 'Short People' is a pedigree in the business. His uncle Alfred Newman won nine Oscars and his other uncle Lionel also won an Oscar for the music from 'Hello Dolly'.
The other nominees were 'If I Rise' from 127 Hours, 'I See The Light' from Tangled and 'Coming Home' from Country Strong.
