Ray Davies, best known as the singer/songwriter for the Kinks, has set a short eight-show tour of the west coast of Canada and the United States for next month.
Davies last two projects have revolved around music that he made while with the Kinks. 2009's The Kinks Choral Chronicles had music from the band performed by Davies along with the Crouch End Festival Chorus. The next year, he released See My Friends, which covered much of the same material but in duets with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Jackson Browne and Alex Chilton.
The Los Angeles based band 88 will perform as both the opening act and as Davies' backup band.
