Reese Witherspoon googles herself when in despair

The actress said she never finds anything but negative comments online, and that it simply serves to reconfirm all of her insecurities.

She told Entertainment Weekly: "Only in very, very dark moments - moments of pure self-loathing - do I type my name into Google. I know what I'm in for.

You never read anything positive. You're fat, you're ugly, you're tired, you're worthless, you don't have a career any more, you're a bad actor. It's just an affirmation of every horrible feeling you have about yourself."

But when she isn’t busy shooting movies or googling herself, Witherspoon said she is kept busy by her kids Deacon, 7, and Ava, 11, from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillipe.

"I also have kids, so when I'm not working, it's not like I'm sitting around doing nothing,” she said.

"I'm taking care of two kids who are rapidly growing up in some bizarre time warp. I mean, somehow I now have an 11-year-old."
