Reese Witherspoon gave birth to her third child, a son named Tennessee James, on Thursday (September 27), a rep for the actress has confirmed to MTV News.
"Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James into their family today," the Oscar winner's rep said in a statement. "Both mom and baby are healthy and the entire family is thrilled."
It's the first child for the couple. Witherspoon has a son, Deacon, and daughter, Ava, with ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. Pregnancy rumors kicked off in March and followed her around for most of the spring until she opened up about the speculation in June.
"Frankly, I'm feeling very round tonight," she told reporters at a Hollywood event in her honor. "Maybe, but it's not easy. I'm always feeling like I'd like to eat everything in sight!"
While appearing on "Daybreak" in the U.K. in February, the actress made reference to her love of babies. "I hug all my girlfriends' babies. They're all so stinking cute," she said, adding that it's hard seeing her babies grow up. "There's a little sadness as they're growing up and walking away from you, but it kind of changes the whole dynamic. We have really funny dinner conversations now, and they know more about certain topics than I ever, ever knew."
Witherspoon and Toth were engaged in December 2010 after dating for nearly a year. They got married months later, in March 2011, and she was spotted days after the ceremony leaving the gym with her wedding ring on.
