Sixteen crew members working on the set of Resident Evil were injured after a stage collapsed during the shoot of Paul WS Anderson's movie.
Ten crew members and actors ended up in a Toronto hospital as a result of the incident, The Hollywood Reporter has said.
A spokesperson for the Toronto Police explained that a wheeled platform had accidentally shifted while actors were moving from one side of the stage to the other.
This caused the stage to collapse, causing the injuries.
Mila Jovovich, Ali Larter and Michelle Rodriguez star in the latest installment of the video-game adaptation.
Resident Evil: Retribution is scheduled for release on September 14, 2012.
