Russell Brand says Katy Perry has got him under the thumb

In one of his first interviews since getting hitched, Brand appeared on Loose Women today and said he has been experimenting with how far to take flirting as a married man.

He said: 'Everyday is an experiment, I would like to learn what the acceptable degree of flirting is... Is this right for example?'

Russell then wagged a banana around, insinuating it as something else.

The 35-year-old went on to show off his new ring and joked about marrying Katy, 26, after one of the Loose Women said she was going to check him for flying pigs because she never thought he would get married.

He said: 'Had there been flying pigs it would have undermined the entire wedding because it would have been a betrayal of the laws of physics as we know it and the laws of biology and now we live in a universe of utter randomness and nothing makes sense anymore.'

The British comedian described his first dance as 'special' but everything else about his marriage to the Teenage Dream singer as 'normal'.

Brand added: 'The other day when I put a shirt on, she said, 'You wearing that shirt then are you?' That's actually happening, that's a thing off a sitcom. That's my actual life, I wasn't allowed to wear it.'
