Scars on 45's "Heart On Fire," the song that ABC is using to promote the upcoming season of "Grey's Anatomy," will be exclusively featured on the fourth volume of "Grey's Anatomy Original Soundtrack." Cee Lo Green, Lykke Li, the National and Delta Spirit are among the acts featured on the soundtrack that Chop Shop/Atlantic will release Sept. 13.
Scars on 45, who have released an EP, will release their Chop Shop/Atlantic debut album next year. The British band undoubtedly hopes the promos will spark interest in their music similar to previous efforts that bolstered Snow Patrol and the Fray. "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol and The Fray's "How To Save A Life" were in "Grey's Anatomy" promos prior to becoming hits.
The British band, which has received some airplay for "Give Me Something," begins a 22-date tour with Marc Broussard on Sept. 7. A live acoustic version of "Heart On Fire" from Scars on 45 is available for free download at the ABC Music Lounge. The site will also have interviews with the soundtrack artists.
