Shakespears Sister are doing an exclusive live performance at the Hoxton Underbelly on November 20, her first as Shakespears Sister in almost 15 years.
The Ivor Novello award winning Siobhan Fahey aka Shakespears Sister, returns from her recording hiatus in November 2009, with her new studio album 'Songs From The red Room'. Including writing and production collaborations with contemporary hit-makers Whitey, Jagz kooner, Death In Vegas to musical legends Marco Pirroni (Adam + the Ants, Wolfmen) and Terry Hall (Specials / Fun Boy 3).
The albums lead single 'It's A Trip' is already gathering enthusiastic radio play and will be released in EP form in Spring 2010. The album also includes a cover of the Linda Lamb classic 'Hot Room' and the track 'Bitter Pill', presented here in it's original previously unreleased 'guitar' form has already been covered by The Pussycat Dolls for inclusion on their debut album and renamed 'I Want You Back'.
Songs from the Red Room, Shakespears Sisters 4th studio record to date, follows the success of 'Sacred Heart' (1988); Hormonally Yours (1992) '#3' (1997/2004) and the official 'The Best Of' and rarities collection 'Long Live The Queens!' (2005). Having entered the Guiness Book Of Records in 1988 as a founder member of the worlds most successful charting female group to 1993's accolade as the most successful female musical duo ever as Shakespears Sister, both records she still hold today, Siobhan Fahey continues to be one of the UK's most successful female artists.
