Simon Pegg says appearing on stage with Coldplay recently was "terrifying and weird".
The British actor has been friends with the rock band for many years, after they were introduced by his wife.
Coldplay played a show in London, UK, earlier this week and asked Simon to perform with them.
"It was terrifying," he laughed. "I'm alright doing films and stuff but I'm not a rock musician so to be on stage in front of 70,000 people felt a little bit weird."
Simon's new movie is called A Fantastic Fear of Everything and he plays Jack, who is anxious and scared of most things. The paranoid character spends most of the movie parading in his underwear, which Simon has joked is one of the main things which appealed to him.
"The Y front aspect was the main pull. The idea of going to work in just my pants – who wouldn't want [that]? If we could all be sat here in our pants now. It's so comfortable," he told UK TV show Daybreak.
"It was artistic ageing, they weren't really grubby. I didn't grubby them myself."
