After many years of numerous awards, extensive solo/acoustic tours, successful acting roles on HBOs The Wire, and Treme; Steve Earle, the rabble rousing godfather of the alternative country scene is back in support of his new release The Low Highway, due for release on Tuesday 16th April.
The album is a follow up to the 2011 UK chart topper Ill Never Get Out Of This World Alive, and the Grammy Award winning 2009 release of his tribute album Townes.
Accompanying this tour will be his highly celebrated, electric live band The Dukes featuring Alison Moorer.
This rare full-band performance is a must-see for any Steve Earle fan, country enthusiast, or in fact anyone else who wants a first hand look at a high-end artist within the realms of country music.
Earle is back to relying on his own pen in one of his strongest collections of songs, full of sharply etched observations on mortality, faith, the dirty side of politics, lust and murder, superstition and hard-won love.
LA Times
His creative fires are burning steady, still, and if you care for him youll want a seat at the hearth.
