Steve Mason has announced details of the release of a new single, Fire through Domino on Monday November 4th 2013.
The single, released as a download only, is taken from his recent album, Monkey Minds In The Devil's Time, which was released in March to rave reviews.
Recorded with Dan Carey in his south London studio, Monkey Minds In The Devil's Time, is Steve Mason's second album for Double Six. It is an album saturated with politics. With a title referring to the Buddhist term for an easily distracted brain, it's an album that has been shaped by the current global political climate and the lack of dissenting voices in music and popular culture in general. The righteous, undaunted anger at the heart of the album has helped to create Mason's best record to date.
Additionally, he recently announced a U.K. tour in October / November. The tour follows his short run of shows in April, which culminated in a sold-out show at London's Village Underground and his Sunday night slot on The Park Stage at Glastonbury.
This summer also saw Steve appear at the Latitude, T in the Park and Green Man festivals.
