Steve Mason has just unveiled details of a UK headline tour in April when he will play his biggest shows to date.
Steve is also set to release new single, All Come Down, through Double Six on Monday April 25th 2011.
The stunning single is one of the stand-out tracks from his much-applauded solo album, Boys Outside, which was released last year and subsequently featured in many end of year 'best ofs' including Q, Mojo and NME. The 10-track album was produced by Richard X and Steve Mason.
The full list of Steve's forthcoming live dates (where he will be performing with a full band) are as follows:
April
12th Manchester Deaf Institute
13th London Scala
16th Dublin Button Factory
Steve is currently in the studio with the legendary producer / musician Dennis Bovell working on a 'dub version' of the Boys Outside album. One of the leading lights of U.K. reggae, Bovell gained renown with his own group, Matumbi and also worked with the likes of Linton Kwesi Johnson, I-Roy, Janet Kay. He also produced a wide diversity of bands including The Pop Group, Orange Juice and The Slits. The album is nearing completion and release plans will be announced shortly.
