Taylor Swift is reportedly appearing in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film as a mutant.
The Shake It Off hitmaker is rumoured to be starring as mutant singer Dazzler in the movie, out later this month (May16), according to editors at NME.com.
Sophie Turner, who plays a young Jean Grey in the movie, posted a picture on Instagram.com on Friday (29Apr16) which seemingly gave the game away.
The image, a still from the film, shows her and Cyclops, played by Tye Sheridan, browsing records back in the 1980s. And Cyclops has pulled out a record by Dazzler, a mutant who has the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams.
"#FlashbackFriday to that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favourite singer's album (pre 1989, of course)," the Game of Thrones star captioned the picture. 1989 is the name of Taylor's latest album, which has won a Grammy Award and sold more than 4 million copies.
Taylor recently told Vogue magazine she is enjoying her downtime after the huge success of her 2014 album 1989, and she has "no idea" when she will release her next album.
"This is the first time in 10 years that I haven't known," she said. "I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened, I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something."
Boyfriend and superstar DJ producer Calvin Harris recently revealed he loves having Taylor by his side when he's working, especially because of her bubbly nature.
"She's fantastic! She knows when it's time to leave me for a bit on my own. Before the show," the 32-year-old gushed to London's KISS FM radio station.
"She's super encouraging and she kind of gets her vibe going with other people as well, you know. She can even cheer up my manager, which is an unbelievable feat! So it's fantastic having her around."
X-Men: Apocalypse, which also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, is out 18 May.
