Taylor Swift has reportedly ordered her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris to take it easy after his car crash.
Scottish DJ Calvin was travelling in a sports utility vehicle when he was hit by a 16-year-old driving a VW Beetle last month (May16), in Los Angeles. The 32-year-old suffered minor injuries and discharged himself from hospital early, and despite allegedly splitting with Taylor last week, his popstar ex wants him to rest and recuperate following the smash.
"Taylor wants Calvin to make sure he really does take the time off needed to recover from the car crash," a source told Britain's New! magazine. "He's always running at a hundred miles an hour and doesn't know when to stop. Taylor will make sure, this time, that he puts his feet up and doesn't lift a finger until he's better."
Taylor, 26, and Calvin shocked fans when news broke the pair had split on Wednesday (01June16), with sources saying they called time on their romance at the end of May.
Insiders say it was Calvin, real name Adam Wiles, who ended the relationship, walking away 14 months after the pair first started dating.
"They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. The touring and travelling didn't help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers," a friend told E! News.
"Adam really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that. He liked how innocent Taylor was and that she had a good caring heart. Taylor's heart was more in it then he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up."
Taylor is said to have accepted the end of the union, and isn't looking to reconcile with the DJ.
