The Aliens new tour dates

Fresh from overwhelming critic acclaim for their debut album Astronomy For Dogs, and with lead singer Gordon Anderson sporting a newly healed clavicle, the Aliens announce their rescheduled tour dates, and the release of new single 'Robot Man' on 25th June.

Forthcoming single 'Robot Man' is a favourite track from the album and their live sets: its disco-funk genius is the perfect song for the upcoming summer of festivals, for which the Aliens are more than prepared.

The Aliens, as if you didn't know are Gordon Anderson (vocals / guitar), John Maclean (keyboards / electronics) and Robin Jones (drums). In their previous incarnation The Beta Band, John & Robin offered a much needed alternative to the self-satisfied sounds of Brit-Pop when they emerged in the mid-nineties. Today as The Aliens, along with old pal Gordon Anderson, they stand out amongst the crowd of unimaginative indie-rock bands that dominate the musical landscape.

The last tour, scheduled to run in March, was cancelled when, in an attempt to get to grips with nature, John and Gordon were climbing a tree of a Saturday afternoon during a stroll in the Scottish countryside. Gordon fell from the tree only to break his collarbone, rendering him more or less useless for the forthcoming tour.
