New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem put up a new song, '45', and prepare their next album.
All the recent love for The Boss must be doing wonders for New Jersey street rockers The Gaslight Anthem, who have been emulating their hero for a couple of albums now.
The broke through properly with 2010's American Slang and now they've announced that they've finished their new album Handwritten.
They recorded it in Nashville with Brendan O'Brien, and have recorded b-sides and covers to go along.
They previewed the first single, '45', on Rolling Stone, frontman Brian Fallon saying "This song felt to us like we still had something to say in this long line of rock n' roll tradition. It made the path clear as to what we should do next. Sometimes you just have to leave things behind… turn the record over."
You can listen to '45' below and buy it online from May 8. Handwritten comes out on July 24. You can also hear American Slang in full at the band's SoundCloud here.
